- FACT:
most Occupational diseases only manifest years, if not decades after exposure.The Compensation Commissioner may only receive a claim once the employee has retired OR after they have died.
The employer & Health & Safety Committee should focus on identifying & investigating past, present & possible causes that did or may result in the death of the employee from a disease contracted while at work.
