QMF – Quality Management Framework
HAZARD – A hazard is any object, situation, or behavior that has the potential to cause injury, ill health, or damage to property or the environment.
RISK – risk is the possibility of a person’s health or safety being affected by a hazard. It is a sum of the likelihood of an adverse event occurring and the consequence the event.
OMISSION – omission comes from the verb, omit, which means to leave out. Omissions can be purposeful or a result of neglect. Failure to perform an act agreed to, where there is a duty to an individual or the public to act (including omitting to take care) or is required by law. Such an omission may give rise to a lawsuit in the same way as a negligent or improper act.
