The Purpose: This unit standard is intended for persons who are required to receive, handle and store hazardous chemicals safely in a processing environment. 

 People credited with this unit standard are able to:

1. Prepare to receive hazardous chemicals.
2. Receive and check chemicals.
3. Handle chemicals safely.
4. Conduct post-handling processes.
5. Store hazardous chemicals for production requirements.
